Introduction

OxiTick ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our privacy-first to-do and note-taking application ("the App").

Information We Collect

None. We do not operate any cloud service, and the App contains no analytics, no tracking, and no telemetry. We have no technical means to collect your data: OxiTick ships without any connection to our infrastructure.

How That Is Possible

  • Your data is local: Your tasks and notes live in a database on your own device. That is what makes them private — and it is also why the App works with no network connection at all.
  • Optional sync — to your server, not ours: If you enable sync, the App connects exclusively to a server that you (or your organization) install and operate. Your account there is created by that server's administrator, and your data goes only where you point the App.
  • No middleman: There is no OxiSoft-operated backend between your devices and your server. Nothing passes through us.

How We Use Your Information

We don't have it, so we can't use it. If you email us for support, we see whatever you choose to include in your message — and nothing else.

Data Storage and Security

Local Storage (All Users)

  • Your data is always stored locally on your device first
  • The App works fully offline without internet connection
  • Local data uses your device's built-in security features; sync credentials are kept in the platform keychain/keystore

Self-Hosted Sync (Optional)

  • Sync is completely optional — you choose whether to enable it and which server to use
  • Data is encrypted in transit (SSL/TLS when your server is configured with it)
  • Data at rest lives on infrastructure you control — your VPS, home server, or on-premises hardware
  • Server security, backups, and access control are in your hands, by design

Offline-Only Use

  • Data never leaves your device — completely private
